Synapse Audio heeft DUNE gelanceerd. Met deze synthesizer wil de softwaremaker het bekende meerstemmige unison-concept naar een hoger niveau tillen. Zo kan DUNE de individuele unisonstemmen moduleren met behulp van een modulatiematrix. Daarmee kan DUNE volgens Synapse Audio een meervoudig gelaagd geluid weergeven en morphen.
Dat klinkt een beetje vaag, maar de demo geeft een goed beeld van de mogelijkheden van deze subtractieve synthesizer. Het geluid doet denken aan dat van de vst-plugins Sylenth en Gladiator. Een prettige bijkomstigheid is dat DUNE cpu-vriendelijk is.

Synapse Audio has released DUNE. With this synthesizer the software maker wants to take the unison concept to a new level. DUNE can modulate the individual unison voices with the included modulation matrix. According to Synapse Audio multi-layered sounds and textures, as well as complex morphing is possible.
This might sound a little bit vague, but the demo demonstrates DUNE’s possibilities well. The sound of this cpu friendly subtractive synthesizer is in the same league as the vst plugins Sylenth and Gladiator.
