U-he heeft DIVA gelanceerd. De virtueel analoge VST-synthesizer klinkt fantastisch, maar vergt behoorlijk veel van de cpu. Je kunt DIVA nu zonder beperkingen gebruiken. Vanaf 1 januari aanstaande hoor je af en toe licht gekraak, meldt u-he.
DIVA staat voor Dinosaur Impersonating Virtual Analogue. De oscillators, filters en envelopes bestaan uit verschillende modules en zijn gebaseerd op klassieke hardware. Door modules te combineren kun je hybride synthesizers maken.
Je hebt een krachtige computer nodig om de plug-in optimaal in hoge kwaliteit (divine mode) te kunnen draaien. Als je computer wat ouder is, dan kun je DIVA draaien op een lagere kwaliteit (draft mode), maar houd er wel rekening mee dat het geluid totaal anders kan zijn.
Tot 15 januari aanstaande kost DIVA $ 119 (€ 92), daarna wordt de prijs $ 179 (€ 138). Deze prijzen zijn exclusief BTW.U-he has launched DIVA.
