Wolfgang Palm, de maker van de legendarische PPG Wave synthesizer, stelt Plex 2 gratis beschikbaar via de website van Hermann Seib. Deze interessante VST-synthesizer was een aantal jaren geleden een commerciële plug-in van Steinberg, de fabrikant van Cubase. De plug-in is beschikbaar voor Windows.
Wat de gebruikersinterface betreft is Plex 2 is een heel aparte synthesizer die je niet direct zult doorgronden. De synthesizer maakt wel interessante geluiden. Het is zeker aan te raden om de (niet helemaal up-to-date) gebruikershandleiding door te nemen.
Helaas beschikt de website van Hermann Seib niet over een grote bandbreedte. Gelukkig zijn er enthousiaste synthesizerliefhebbers die een zogenaamde mirrorsite hebben opgezet waarvan de downloadsnelheid stukken hoger ligt. A few years ago this interesting VST synthesizer was a commercial plug-in sold by Steinberg, the manufacturer of Cubase. Plex 2 is a very special synthesizer that you will not immediately understand if you are used to conventional synthesizers. The synthesizer does make interesting sounds. It is certainly recommended to read the (not quite up to date) user manual.
Unfortunately, the site of Hermann Seib has not a great bandwidth. But there are some generous synthesizer enthusiasts who have created a mirror site with much higher download speeds. The mirror sites can be found in this thread on KVR.
