De gratis audio-editor Wavosaur heeft een nieuwe update gekregen. Met de lancering van versie 1.0.7 heeft het Wavosaur team een aantal verbeteringen doorgevoerd in onder andere de VST-host, mp3 import, frequency/ spectrum analyser, en de aanduidingen in de tijdlijn. Tone2 heeft RayBlaster aangekondigd, een nieuwe VST synthesizer plug-in. Deze synthesizer maakt volgens Tone2 gebruik van Impulse Modeling Synthesis. Dat klinkt interessant, maar wat dit doet is nog niet geheel duidelijk. In ieder geval beweert Tone2 dat met deze techniek vele verschillende filters zijn na te bootsen. Tone2 has announced RayBlaster, a new VST synthesizer plug-in. This synthesizer uses Impulse Modeling Synthesis for sound creation. That sounds interesting, but what it does is not so clear. Tone2 claims that this technique can emulate many different filters.

Togu Audio Line heeft TAL-Chorus-LX gelanceerd. Deze eenvoudige gratis chorus plug-in is afgeleid van de TAL-UNO-LX synthesizer. De chorus is gebaseerd op de klassieke chorus van de Juno-60 synthesizer. Togu Audio Line has launched TAL-Chorus-LX. This simple free chorus plug-in is taken from the TAL-UNO-LX synthesizer. The chorus is based on the chorus of the classic Juno-60 synthesizer.

Synapse Audio heeft Antidote gelanceerd, een Rack Extension voor Reason. Deze synthesizer ziet er op het oog misschien eenvoudig uit door de lekker compacte interface, maar vergis je niet: hij klinkt fantastisch.Synapse Audio has launched Antidote, a Rack Extension for Reason. Ableton Live 9 wordt snel verwacht. We zijn benieuwd hoe Live zich verhoudt tot de nieuwe Windows 8. Onder de nieuwe features behoren The Glue compressor en de verbetering van de equalizer.Ableton Live 9 is coming soon. We are curious about the performance of Live in Windows 8. Among the new features are The Glew compressor and some improvements of the equalizer.
